Thanks For the New Maps, Apple

Just a quick post to let you know that Apple is updating the maps app with A LOT better maps on Japan.  They haven't really been that great to date, but looks like they are starting to sort things out.

As for my recommendation.... I still think that Google Maps is the better option. Though why not use both since they are both free. That way you can decide which one works for you.  I would start with Google Maps and then check Apples Maps after if you are having issues.

Japanese Emoticons Pro

Took a bit of time but Apple has finally approved my app!! If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch get your copy of "Emoticons Pro".


This version has about 200 Japanese style text based emoticons also called "kaomoji, emoji, or smiley's". I also included a brief description subtitle under the emoticon, to give you an idea of what they mean.  I know even I wonder about the meaning to some of these, lol!?!

New App by "The Yank" - Japanese Emoji

An iPhone app I made just went live in the Apple iTunes App Store.  First of all, It's FREE as in BEER, so get over there and download it!! Basically it's 100+ Japanese style Emoji (Text Emoticons) that you can copy and paste into Facebook, Twitter, SMS, Text messages, email, iMessage, Google+, or anywhere else you can think of.

I made this app because I was sick of making those crazily elaborate Emoji's.  I wanted to be able to select them from a list and just copy to the clipboard and paste wherever I wanted.  This is the result.  I am still collecting cool text emoticons that I come across and will update the app later with more.
