Bowling in Japan

So, the family and I, with a friends family as well, went bowling yesterday.  I think this is the second or third time in 10 years that I have been bowling, and 1 or 2 of those times was in Japan.  Some interesting things about bowling in Japan.

1.  There is an automatic shoe dispenser.
2.  Membership cards for everyone. We couldn't use one card to cover the entire group.
3.  It cost about 1000 yen.
4.  We had to buy a drink.
5.  Bowling with a 4 year old kid is funny!
6.  I suck at bowling, but had a blast.

Here are some pictures from a Japanese bowling alley. Enjoy!

Box Town was packed! There is a discount supermarket that is always packed here.  People love the place so we had to fight for parking.

Let's go bowling!

The console.

Over head computer score boards. Pretty easy to use even if you don't know much Japanese.

That's our lane!
